About the Teacher

Mr. Rob Morris has taught for 32 years in grades 7-12 in both a small school in Wyoming coal country and larger junior and senior high schools in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  His longest tenure was at Clair E. Gale Junior High, where he spent 18 years.  Morris came to Idaho Falls High School when Gale was closed to create Compass Academy and Gale teachers were reassigned.  This is his sixth year at Idaho Falls High School.  He also taught night high school for many years.  He has been a varsity and junior varsity boys' soccer coach at both Idaho Falls High School and Hillcrest High School.  He also has coached cross-country at the junior and senior high levels as a head coach, and continues to coach junior high track as the throws and high jump coach at Eagle Rock.

Morris is also a writer when he's not teaching.  He has one book coming out this year from Casemate Publishers and one next year from University of Nebraska Press.  His Amazon page link is here.

Morris has been married for 33 years, has 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
